Anne-Day Triana has been awarded as “One of the Top Money Advisers of 2016, 2018, 2019, 2020 & 2021” by Washingtonian magazine, a popular monthly magazine distributed in the Washington DC area. This award is based on survey recommendations from other financial professionals and independent research from peers in the field and consulting industry publications.
The editorial staff at Investment News received more than 800 nominations, and began by reviewing the traits they were seeking to recognize most strongly in this year's class. InvestmentNews editorial staff evaluated nominees by key attributes: accomplishments to date, contributions to the industry, leadership and promise. "Given the passion, dedication, and innovative spirit that are the hallmarks of the U.S. financial advice industry, it's not surprising we received more than 800 nominations when we put out our call for this year's class of 40 under 40s," said Frederick P. Gabriel Jr., editor of Investment News. "Whittling those nominations down to just 40 honorees was tough. But after reading our honorees' stories, I have no doubt that Investment News' readers will feel as inspired and hopeful about the future of the industry as we do."
Investment News' 40 Under 40 nominations of advisers and associated professionals are evaluated based on accomplishment to date, contribution to the industry, leadership and promise.

1To arrive at the names of the area’s 375 top financial advisers—the fee-only financial planners, fee-based advisers, estate attorneys, tax accountants, and insurance advisers marked with a “Top Financial Advisor” tag—we distributed surveys to hundreds of people who work in the local financial industry. We asked them whom they would trust with their own money. We also did our own research, consulting industry experts and publications. The “Top Financial Advisor” names on this list are the people who received the strongest recommendations.
